# Aphelion Appliance Repair: what a repair costs

Luxury kitchen appliance repair in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area, Sub-Zero, Wolf,
Viking and GE Monogram. Every figure below is the figure on the website. Two numbers
are named before anyone touches the appliance, and neither of them moves afterwards.

## The two numbers

- Diagnostic visit: $119. A technician at your home, with instruments rather than
  opinions. Waived in full the moment you go ahead with the repair, so a repair costs
  nothing to diagnose.
- Typical labor: $500–600. The usual range for sealed-system or control work on a
  built-in of this class. Some jobs land under that range and a few above it; you are
  told which before we begin, not after.

## Flat rate, not hourly

The repair is quoted as one fixed number, and you approve that number before anything
is opened. There is no hourly meter and no arithmetic at the end that you did not agree
to. If the job runs to three hours instead of one, that is our cost, not your invoice.

## Parts

- Every part we supply is genuine OEM, and it is quoted separately from the labor.
- A part you supply yourself is fitted for the labor alone. It carries no warranty, and
  that labor is not refunded if the part does not fit or fails, we cannot stand behind
  a part we did not choose.

## Warranty

- 12 months on parts and labor.
- It applies to Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking and Monogram repairs made with the genuine OEM
  parts we supply.
- If the part we fitted fails within the year, the new part and the return visit cost
  you nothing.

## When we say the repair is not worth it

Sometimes it is not. The machine is too far gone, or the part it needs is no longer
manufactured. We say so plainly, you pay the $119 and nothing else, and we tell you
what we would buy instead. We do not sell refrigerators.

For scale: replacing a built-in of this class is $10,000–$20,000 for the machine alone,
before anyone installs it, and the surround was built to the old unit's dimensions.
