Freezer repair.
A freezer failure gives you hours, not days — and in Arizona, fewer. We treat it with the urgency it deserves.
What We Service
Full-height freezer columns
Sub-Zero, Viking and Monogram all-freezer columns — sealed systems and airflow.
Under-counter drawers
Freezer drawers in islands and pantries — slides, seals, evaporators.
Built-in freezer sections
Freezer sides and bottoms of side-by-side and over-and-under units.
Defrost systems
Heaters, timers, thermostats and sensors — the usual root of frost problems.
Inside a Freezer
Frost is a symptom, not a fault.
A freezer is designed to grow frost on its evaporator and then melt it off on a schedule. A heater warms the coil, the meltwater runs to a drain, the cycle starts again. So when ice builds where it should not, the refrigeration is usually working perfectly — the defrost cycle has quietly stopped happening.
The manufacturers publish the limits. On these built-ins the control will run a defrost of roughly half an hour after as much as sixty hours without a door opening, and an over-temperature disc on the coil cuts the heater once it has cleared. If the heater, that disc or the sensor fails, the whole sequence stops without a warning.
The other half of what we see is simply air. A gasket that no longer pulls tight lets humid monsoon air in continuously, and the coil ices faster than any defrost cycle was designed to clear.

Never chip ice off an evaporator. It is thin aluminium and copper carrying refrigerant under pressure — one puncture turns a defrost repair into a sealed-system repair.
