What We Service
Aphelion Appliance Repair, an independent company, repairs GE Monogram column and built-in refrigerators, wine reserves, ice makers and freezer columns, and Monogram gas and dual-fuel ranges and rangetops, across the Phoenix metro, including Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. The diagnostic is $119, waived when you go ahead with the repair, and repairs made with the parts we supply carry 12 months on parts and labor. Inside a Monogram
The loop you cannot replace.
On a Monogram built-in the condenser sits behind the grille at the top of the cabinet, not underneath it. The fan pulls air in from the left of the machine compartment and pushes it out the right. Block that path with a run of cabinetry or a panel that does not sit right, and the machine slowly cooks itself.
Then there is the condenser loop. It is copper tubing foamed permanently into the structure, routed around the front perimeter of the freezer opening, and GE’s service guide says it is not accessible for replacement. A leak there is a different conversation from a leak anywhere else.
A smaller detail from the same guide: the capillary tube is clipped against the compressor discharge line so the two share heat. If that clip is left off after a repair, a knocking noise may occur. That may be the clip, not a failing compressor.

Which Monogram refrigeration do you repair?

Does a Monogram show error codes?
The GE service guide for Monogram built-ins has no fault-code table, so unlike a Sub-Zero there is usually no code to read. Describe what you see: the temperatures, the sounds, when it started, and note anything on the display.
The condenser loop is leaking. Can it be replaced?
No. On these built-ins the condenser loop is copper tubing foamed permanently into the cabinet, routed around the freezer opening. A leak there is a different conversation from a leak anywhere else, and we will tell you plainly what it means before you spend anything beyond the $119 visit.
My Monogram started knocking after a repair. Is the compressor failing?
Check the clip first. The capillary tube is clipped to the compressor discharge line so the two share heat; if that clip is left off, GE’s service guide warns that a knock may occur. It may be a small part rather than the compressor.
Are you an authorized Monogram service?
No. Aphelion is independent and not affiliated with GE Appliances. If your unit is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, contact GE Appliances first. A covered repair should cost you nothing.

Refrigeration failures are time-critical, especially in Arizona. Call (478) 888-2999, every day from 7am to 6pm, and tell us what happened. We set the visit for the same day, the next day, or whichever day suits you.
