Inside a Monogram
The loop you cannot replace.
On a Monogram built-in the condenser sits behind the grille at the top of the cabinet, not underneath it. The fan pulls air in from the left of the machine compartment and pushes it out the right. Block that path — a run of cabinetry, a panel that does not sit right — and the machine slowly cooks itself.
Then there is the condenser loop. It is copper tubing foamed permanently into the structure, routed around the front perimeter of the freezer opening to keep the frame from sweating. It is not a serviceable part. A leak there is a different conversation from a leak anywhere else, and any technician who tells you otherwise has not opened one of these.
A smaller detail, and a good test of whoever is standing in your kitchen: the capillary tube is clipped against the compressor discharge line so the two share heat. If that clip is left off after a repair, the machine develops a knock. It is not a failing compressor. It is a clip.

Does a Monogram show error codes?
The GE service guide for Monogram built-ins has no fault-code table, so unlike a Sub-Zero there is usually no code to read. Describe what you see — the temperatures, the sounds, when it started — and note anything on the display.
The condenser loop is leaking. Can it be replaced?
No. On these built-ins the condenser loop is copper tubing foamed permanently into the cabinet, routed around the freezer opening to keep the frame from sweating. A leak there is a different conversation from a leak anywhere else, and we will tell you plainly what it means before you spend anything beyond the $119 visit.
My Monogram started knocking after a repair. Is the compressor failing?
Check the clip first. The capillary tube is clipped to the compressor discharge line so the two share heat; if that clip is left off, the machine develops a knock. It is a small part, not a compressor.
